Skill Training Program

(Citizenship Scheme 2225-03-277-2-37) (The training, awareness and incentives for 2016-17, 
provided by the program for Backward Classes students will be allocated Rs.3466.00 lakhs)

The following programs are implemented in 2015-16 to create self employment through skill training for unemployed women / male candidates of backward classes .

 

1. Fashion Technology Training by the National Institutes of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at Bangalore.

 

1.National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore Institute of Fashion Technology, 
will provide free training to the following courses.

2. Skill training through VTU Skill Development Training Centers.

will be provided to the following courses through Bangalore, Belgaum, Kalaburgi and Mysore Divisional Centers of Visvesvarayya Technological University's training development centers (one candidate will be trained in one course only).

Training by VTU

 

3. Training through the following training institutes of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation:

1.TRRC:

1) Central Training Center, Bangalore

2) Regional Training Center, Malavalli

3) Regional Training Center, Hassan

2.Template:

1) Driver Training Center, Vadarahalli, Bangalore

3. ETF Nice:

1) Regional Training Center, Humanabad

2) Driver Training Center, Hagaribomanahalli

4.WCR:

1) Regional Training Center, Hubli

A) Scheduled Eligibility:

1) Age Limit: At least 21 years Maximum 35 years have to be completed.

2) LMV license must be completed at least one year. If the tractor is LMV then 2 years of license must be completed.

3) SSLC must be passed.

Details of the facilities provided to the students:

1) Free meals and housing arrangements.

2) Rs. 1,000 / - for training applicants - Training allowance and Rs. 500 / - Uniform 
allowance will be paid after completion of training.

4. Light Vehicle Training at District Level

1) The candidate for obtaining light / heavy driving training is a resident of Karnataka State 
and should belong to backward classes of 1 / 2A / 3A / 3B.

2) Candidate should have at least SSLC or equivalent qualification.

3) At least 21 years of age must be completed.

4) The candidate who receives heavy motor vehicle training 
should have a minimum driving license of at least one year.

5) The Medical Certificate 
should be presented as per Rule 5 of the Central Motor Vehicles Code 1989 .

6) Training centers should be given at least 1 month training.

7) Government Order No.: SA / Initiative - 3 / PR-105 / 2013-14, Date: 27.09.2013 The 
maximum training fee is as follows. 
a. Autorickshaw - Rs.3000 / - 
b. Light Motor Vehicle - Rs. 4000 / - 
c. Transport Vehicle - Rs. 6000 / -

8) Training under the Karnataka Transparency Act 1999 will be implemented in accordance with the upper limit of the upper rate through lightweight / heavy driving training centers approved by Regional Transport Offices .

9) 9,000 / - for training candidates to pay training after completion of training.

A) Selection of candidates for training:

1) The welfare officers of the district backward classes should be promoted to the training program and invite applications from eligible Backward Classes candidates.

4) If the candidate leaves the training, the regular training cost should be deducted from the applicants .

B) Eligibility for Scheduled Castes:

1) Candidates must have a specific qualification.

2) Must be 18-35 years old.

3) Candidates & Family Annual Income Limit Rs.2.50 Lakhs to candidates of 1th class and Rs.1.00 Lakhs for candidates for 2 A, 3A and 3B candidates.

4) Duration: Maximum 6 months training.

5) Training will be given to candidates selected for training.
